The Pierre
The Pierre är ett av de vackrare hus jag sett på länge där det ligger med vacker utsikt över skärgården på San Juan Islands. Villan är mer eller mindre byggd av lokala material och det tillsammans med sitt gröna tak gör att The Pierre smälter samman med sin omgivning likt en Bond-skurks hemliga högkvarter. Jag kan inte hitta några fel med utsidan och jag gillar inredning nästan lika mycket. Kombinationen av äldre, inbjudande möbler står i vacker kontrast till de råa betong väggarna. Ja, vad mer kan man säga, Olson Kundig Architects har gjort ett otroligt bra jobb. Njut av bilderna efter hoppet!

Vacker villa av Young & Young
I Franklin, Michigan ligger villan här ovan. Jag vet rätt lite om den vackra villan men jag vet att den är ritad av Young & Young Architects och helt och hållet konstruerad av insulating concrete forms, som är frigolitformar fyllda med cement som både är starka och isolerar väl. Young & Young Architects jobbar med det de kallar ”orcanic architecture”och är medlem av The U.S. Green Building Council så valet av ett energisnålt byggmaterial som insulating conrete forms känns rätt logiskt. House D
Som utlovat så kommer här ännu ett inlägg med ett hus signerat slovenska arkitektbyrån Bevk Perović arhitekti. Huset heter House D och har precis som House HB olika nivåer av avskildhet. Källaren innehåller ett gym, spa, pool, musikrum, arbetsrum och tre atriumgårdar. Utrymmen har alla glasväggar mot atriumgårdarna för att att släppa in dagsljus. Men eftersom det mesta ligger undermarken är utrymmena mycket privata. På markplan lever ägarna så där finns vardagsrum, kök, matsal och en stor terass där källarens atriumgårdar sticker upp och ger den annars karga terassen lite grönska och liv. En trappa upp finns sovrumet (ja, bara ett), badrum och en balkong som har samma storlek som rummet. I morgon kan ni komma tillbaka och läsa om House K. Modernt tehus
Att tillaga te är en konstform i Japan och har varit så i nästan tusen år. Den ”moderna” teceremonin (cha-no-yu) utformades av zenbuddhistmunk Sen no Rikyū på 1500-talet och ska helst utövas i ett tehus eller terum. Tehusen är ofta väldigt, klassiskt, japanska i sitt utförande, det är dock inte de tehuset som det här inlägget handlar om. Jun Igarashi Architects har ritat ett unikt, nersänkt, tehus i rå betong och vackert rostfärgad metal. Eftersom tehuset är nersänkt kan man använda taket som bord. Väldigt snyggt (ni borde veta att jag är svag för obehandlade material vid det här laget) och bilderna på bygget är inte dumma heller, känns som det är bilder på ett Märklin-landskap man tittar på.Läs mer

Vladraconis | onsdag, november 17, 2010 From outside it looks like an unearthed nuclear bunker. I fail to see the ”blend with nature” in that. When first seeing it I expected too see skeletons and gas masks and huge iron tables indise. The interior is indeed really nice though.
