Van Hulsteijn
Van Hulsteijn might be one of the stranger bikes you’ll find on this blog. It has a uncompleted, velocipede look that scares me at the same time as it thrills me. I’m not sure if I would dare to ride it if I got the change, but it sure looks exciting, fast and cool. Lots of pics of the bike after the jump of course.
The Ride – Snyggt om cyklar
När jag tänker cykeltidning så är det inte ett direkt något snyggt jag ser framför mig, utan mer något sportigt och svårläst typ CykelNytt. Men min bild på cykeltidningar har förändrats efter att jag fick ett nummer av den brittiska tidskriften The Ride i min hand. Kanske inte lika mycket matnyttigt cykelinnehåll som CyklelNytt, eller Kadens för den delen men mer ett livstidsmagasin med fokus på cyklar. The Ride har än så länge bara utkommit i två nummer och båda har otroligt snygga omslag illustrerade av ilovedust. I senaste numret kan du bland annat läsa om Pharrel Williams kärlek till BMX och se ett fotoreportage med Lance Armstrong. Bike by Me
Bike by Me är ett nytt svenskt cykelföretag (från Huskvarna så klart) som enligt egen utsago gett sig den på att förändra cykelvärlden. Och det genom att ge sina kunder möjligheten att bygga den cykel de verkligen vill ha. Skitkul att custombyggda hipster-cyklar äntligen kommit till Sverige, extra kul är det att de inte är speciellt dyrt, bara 4995 kr! > Bike by MeGo on
Hövding
I know I should wear a helmet when I ride around Malmö but my vanity stops me. But that can all change now thanks to a brilliant Swedish invention called Hövding, a helmet that isn’t a helmet but a collar. A collar that holds an airbag that deploys if you crash (by yourself or with a car). Hövding will cost a bit more than a helmet, around 3000 SEK and the idea is that you will be able to buy different styled casings for Hövding so you can match it to the rest of your outfit. Exciting product that feels like a mix between a car airbag and a life jacket that inflates when in contact with water.
