Bumpy Road by Simogo

Bumpy Road by Simogo

Just a few months after their first release, Malmö based Simogo is at it again. This time they’ve developed a car based platform game called Bumby Road. They game has the same cute and quirky style that I liked from the studios first game Kosmo Spin and I bet it’s just as fun to play (Bumby Road game is due later this spring). Besides being released for the different iOS platforms Bumby Road will also be released as classic desktop game for your Mac. More pictures and a video of the game can be found after the jump.

Lures by Eric Erickson

Lures by Eric Erickson

I never really considered fishing lures as “designed” or especially attractive before I saw Eric Erickson study of lures. According to Eric Erickson the lures are modern Trojan horses made to entice and captivate its observer (aka the fish). Not sure if they’ll lure the fish to bite, but to me, a human, they sure do look cool!

Blasted Church Vineyards

Blasted Church Vineyards

Almost Friday and time for another wine post. I don’t think you can buy wine from Blasted Church Vineyards in Sweden and that’s a real pity since I think everyone should be able to wines that look as good as Blasted Church Vineyards. The quirky and playful bottles was designed by Bernie Hadley-Beauregard, Laurie Millotte and illustrated by Chris Sickels at Red Nose Studio. Lots of photos of the bottles after the jump.

Kings County Distillery

It feels like moonshining and microdistilleries is fast becoming the new coffee roaster or microbrewery in the USA. One of these microdestilleries is New York based Kings County Distillery. In true DIY spirit Kings County Distillery keeps it simple, from the stock bottles to the minimal labels. Less is more and I think it looks great!

Norwegian Rain

Norwegian Rain

Norwegian Rain makes wonderful rain coat out of hi-tech, recycled fabrics from Japan. Behind the Bergen based company we find Alexander Helle and bespoke tailor extraordinaire T Michael. I really like that the rain coats from Norwegian Rain doesn’t look like traditional rain coats, but more like fashionable coats/jackets. And Grandpeople did a smashing job with the identity (as you can see after the jump).

Viva helmets

Viva helmets

Denmark is known to be a bike friendly nation and many of the Danes are smart enough to wear helmets. As a result the selection of well designed helmets is a bit bigger than in my home country. One of those well designed helmets is the Viva helmet you can see in this post. It was designed by Who Made Id and it was one a Red Dot Award last year.

Firmship 42

Firmship 42

Firmship 42 is a wonderful powerboat with a hull designed by dutch boat designer Willem Nieland. But the boats hull isn’t what makes the boat beautiful in my eyes, it’s the combination of the classic hull lines with the minimal interior by Studio Job. The boat almost looks more like a piece of art than a boat, especially when on stills. Beautiful boat that can be yours for only 329 000 €.
